Welcome
St Mary's Priory Church is a Community of Faith building upon its Benedictine monastic tradition, in which as faithful Christians we are striving to grow in holiness of living, and in following more obediently the teachings of the Gospel and the Historic Faith of the Church in Wales.
At the heart of our mission and witness is the worship of God. In fulfilling the commandments of Jesus Christ we seek to be a Eucharist-centred community where people of all ages are able to participate fully in the Body of Christ.

St Mary’s Priory Church serves as parish church for the town and community of Abergavenny. The Church is one of the largest and finest parish churches in Wales.

St Mary's Priory Centre was opened in 2000 by His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. Since then, the Priory Centre has built its reputation as being one of Abergavenny's leading venues for conferences, weddings and other functions.

The Tithe Barn, Abergavenny, an historic building, painstakingly restored in 2002, is part of the St Mary’s Priory Church complex. It houses our food hall, shop, education centre and exhibition.

The Tithe Barn Food Hall seeks to provide an authentic taste of Wales where food provenance is of great importance. Food is locally sourced, with good husbandry being vital.
