The Cathedral parish of St Dunstan’s, Benoni

In 2007, St Mary’s with Christchurch established a companion link with the cathedral church of St Dunstan’s, Benoni, with St Mary Magdalene, Actonville, as part of the diocesan link with the Highveld.

Since then, we have welcomed visitors from St Dunstan’s to Abergavenny and, in January 2008, a group of four people from St Mary’s travelled to South Africa for an exhausting but wonderful 10 days. They saw great hardship, great hope and were overwhelmed by the amazing hospitality.

The link is very much a two-way one, with each of the two parishes hoping to learn from each other and to give each other support, through prayer, friendship and exchange of ideas and even people.
